MUCH MORE than 20 cents!

Friends from all over the world: I wanted to give you an update around what's happening in Brazil. You may be reading that people are protesting against a 20 cent increase in bus tickets. It's MUCH MORE than that. For many many years, the people in Brazil have lived in a system that, in one hand, gathers billions and billions (and more billions) in taxes from its people every month, but, on the other hand, lacks proper education, healthy system, transportation and more. A 20 cent increase in bus tickets was just the last drop in front of all these years living like this. The giant has woken up: we have millions of Brazilians protesting PEACEFULLY in the streets, asking for a more fair life. It's beautiful: the whole country has united for this mission of changing for the better. The first win happened yesterday: the 20 cents increase was cancelled. This was the very first step of a long journey we are fighting for so that Brazil can be a place where meritocracy reigns above corruption
